The Bar Method

We’ve got a story for you. Our resident exercise guru Samantha Harris checks out the best of the best when it comes to star workouts.

Get ready to lifts those buns and flatten those abs! I hit the street and the gyms to find out which workouts will keep you sweating and sane.

Our next best workout: The Bar Method. Ali Landry and Julia Ormand are bellying up to the bar. It’s a combination of yoga, pilates and isometric exercises. Director Mimi Fleischman says it slims and lengthens the body: “We can really totally reshape the body.”

“You know you’re going against your own body weight.” Dancer and choreographer Chris Judd says the Bar Method definitely gave him a workout. “I know I’m going to be sore tomorrow.”

This workout is great because it not only lifts your buns, but it also gives you that long, lean dancer’s body.
