(Jamie) Castro — Jamie (aka
J.C.) began her dance career at the age
of 6 in her hometown of Phoenix, AZ. After
dancing for over 12 years, she attended
the University of Washington in Seattle
where she received a B.A. in Drama and continued
to dance on the side. She came to LA to
pursue her passion for the world of entertainment.
Jamie found us by word of mouth and after
taking class for just two weeks, we decided
to ask her to be part of our team. She now
teaches at both the West L.A. and West Hollywood
studios, while also working full time at
The Casting Company. We're happy she can
juggle both.

 Joey
Decker — Joey has worked with
and developed the Bar Method Los Angeles for
over four years now. Always inspired to greater
heights as an individual in the pursuit of
excellence, Joey has moved up the ladder from
Bar Method instructor, to part owner helping
to create a thriving business. Committed to
making a difference in the world of health
and fitness, he is the only Bar Method teacher
in Southern California certified to train
and review other teachers by the founder of
the Bar Method, Burr Leonard.
Joey Decker, having worked as dancer and
choreographer prior, is also the founder
and artistic director of the Joseph Allen
Decker Dance Company. Founded in 2004,
the JADD Co. is a tour de force of dance
technique and partnering. The company is
known for its refreshing, surprising, and
versatile works. The JADD Co. has performed
all over the Los Angeles area in such full-scale
productions as Love Thang, A Night of Sin,
and Storm to name a few. Other company appearances
include Spectrum, Dance in L.A., Dance Dimensions,
United Souls in Dance, and the Manhattan
Arts Project.
Joey is thrilled to be an integral part
of the Bar Method team and hopes to open
his own studio very soon!

Gelfand — Bio to

|
 
Jennifer Keyes— Originally
from Massachusetts, Jennifer studied dance and
local theater since the age of five. After graduating
from high school, she started her professional
dance career while getting her Associates Degree
in Early childhood education. She then pursued
dancing full time and worked in stage shows in
France, Japan, and Florida.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Jennifer has had
the opportunity to work steadily in television,
film, commercials, and print, as a dancer,
singer and actor. While concentrating mainly
on her acting career, she enjoys teaching
the Bar Method to maintain her strength
and flexibility for work as a dancer.
